The brick crashed through the window in an explosion of glass. Tied around it was a string and a note and a rose. He knew she would read it, she was too curious not too especially since the rose was her favorite color. The clarion call of the houses alarms were clear in the silence of the night. He took off running through the woods, away from the high walls surrounding the house. In the back of his head was the nagging thought about whether that was the best way to deliver his Valentine’s day message.

Funny. Reading the other things people wrote and this is a common theme today. And some of them were longer then mine. Damn, and I thought I typed fast.

brick walls are built by people who would rather keep their faces hidden from the world
the hurt, the scarred, the afraid
another brick in the wall? another scar on the face of the child whose father is a complete psycho
(kabuki: david mack)
[everything I write ends up filled with references of one kind or another. I am SO branded
Kabuki, by the way, is a comic series. Very awesome. Need to check the author’s name… I -think- it’s David Mack…]

Ted was a brick. It never occurred to me that he wouldn’t back me up. He’d always been there for me, for all of us, and it was a given that he always would be.
(I never take the full 60 seconds. I guess my thoughts don’t last that long.)
